You know, my blog lost everything since May, but I don’t really think I posted anything of value in June and July! This blog is just a few months away from a year old, and what have I used it for? I have really been underusing this.
Unfortunately, I really don’t have any insights today. I’m tired. Only 14 days until I turn 18 though. That’ll be nice. I guess. I’ll actually be able to vote. And buy tobacco. And porn. Well, I guess I know what I’m doing in a couple weeks!
In all seriousness, though, what I’m really looking forward to is going to college. 35 days until classes start. I’ll move in earlier though. That means, though, that I only have a month to get packed up and ready to move out. I can still store stuff at home, but it actually has to be stored, not laying around.
You know what? I’d like a Vanilla Coke. In fact, I’m pretty damn glad I live in America, where Vanilla Coke is availible and where all but the very poorest among us can get it, and the happiness it brings, with no problem. I don’t know if it’s me reading more into it, or having a very deep insight into everyday things, but I think that Vanilla Coke is quite simply one small example of what it means to be human. We look at what’s around us, and we do whatever we can to use it to enhance our own lives. instead of adapting to fit with nature, we adapt nature to fit with us. Whether on the large scale of building a city or on the small scale of combining natural ingredients to create Vanilla Coke, humans adapt nature to our desires. That is what is so great about us.
