Just in case the world doesn’t end…
As of today I’ve decided to take the apartment I was looking at last weekend. Why? Well, as of this morning, the guy next to me (whose room is right on the other side of the wall my bed is against), his alarm clock went off. And continued going off. For a continuous half hour.
I’m not putting up with another semester of this now-regular occurrence.
Is he deaf? Has he learned to just tune out his own alarm clock? Is he trying to piss me off? Point is, I don’t care, I am out of here.
Our upstairs neighbors used to do that shit. The guy was in ROTC and would get up at like 5:30 am for PT. Thing was, they would go on vacation over the weekend or - god forbid, spring vacation - and leave the fucking thing set.
Thus, the alarm would go off at 5:30 am and keep going off for about three hours. I guess it finally hit the end of a cycle and would reset. Only it happened EVERY DAY for DAYS ON END.
I called the landlord and asked them to go turn it off, and they didn’t… And I asked the neighbors to remember to turn it off, and they didn’t either.
This is a large portion of why we moved to a place where we no longer have anybody above or below us.
