I was raised in a liberal atheist home and it seemed that most of our discussions involved why we were so much smarter and more enlightened that those who believed in fairy tales, invisible powers and fantastical beings.

And yet I loved sci-fi, the paranormal, and romantic literature, which involves…fairy tales, invisible powers and fantastical beings.
